This remodel in Newbury Park is the epitome of transitional sophistication. The open-concept floor plan combines the kitchen, dining, and living room spaces into a gorgeous great room. It is perfect for entertaining and resort-style living. Originally, the color scheme before remodeling made this space feel cramped and dated. The JRP team was able to transform the space into an airy, modern, and easy flowing great room.
Starting in the kitchen, the island was reconfigured to create cleaner edges. Quartz countertops and sculptural pendant lighting blend traditional style with modern sophistication. Luxe details including integrated stainless steel appliances and a tile backsplash really tie this space together. As a result, the kitchen truly reflects the goal of creating a space with transitional sophistication.
Moving on to the dining space, The JRP team chose to place a striking chandelier to add style and sophistication to the space. It also works to add a sculptural element, which balances out the pendant lighting in the kitchen and the new stone tile media wall in the living room. The media wall features a picturesque fireplace and mantle. Moving on from here, oversize Jeld Wen sliding doors open the room to the outdoor patio and bathe the living room in natural light. This opens up the space even farther, creating an indoor/outdoor living experience.
