Organic Contemporary Kitchen + Living Space
This project reimagines the home’s kitchen and living areas as a cohesive, organic contemporary environment. Originally, a corner fireplace disrupted the living area. By removing it, the design team opened the plan and reshaped how the spaces connect. As a result, the kitchen and living room relate more naturally, with increased light, movement, and visual continuity.
The kitchen anchors the home with natural maple frameless cabinetry, ash gray hardware, and bronze accents. Taj Mahal quartzite wraps the countertops, island, and backsplash, while a custom copper-bronze hood and Ferguson appliances define a refined, high-performance space.
Above the island, hand-selected MODA Glass pendants by Shades of Light serve as statement pieces that enhance the kitchen’s soft, organic character and reinforce its role as a visual centerpiece.
Beyond the kitchen, the walk-in pantry received a modern update seamlessly bringing in the Taj Mahal quartzite from the kitchen space. Wide-plank flooring freshened up the entire downstairs and the entryway received new finishes that complete the transformation and unify the home as a whole.
The result is a calm, connected interior—an everyday space that functions beautifully while standing as a work of art meant to be lived in and enjoyed.
