Why do people wear green on Saint Patrick’s Day?
Early depictions of St. Patrick have him wearing blue, as depicted by the chivalrous, Order of Saint Patrick who wore sky blue. The Patron Saint of Ireland would later switch to green because of Ireland’s nickname, The Emerald Isle. The green stripe in the Irish flag was also said to have played a role from the switch to green.
