Project Story

Welcome to Ember House.

Originally built as a true midcentury home, Ember House had lost much of its character after decades of wear. The residence was thoughtfully revived to preserve its architectural roots while introducing a refined, modern California sensibility. Original elements, including the iconic orange front door and exterior rock wall, were retained and restored, then paired with warm natural materials, cedar-clad ceilings, custom craftsmanship, and seamless indoor-outdoor living.

From the atrium-inspired primary bath to the resort-style backyard, every space was reimagined with respect for the home’s history and the way it is lived in today. Upon completion, Ember House remains the highest-priced residential sale in Thousand Oaks since November 2025, reflecting the enduring appeal of thoughtful design, craftsmanship, and preservation.
