Sunset Trails
This Westlake Trails residence was reimagined as a seamless indoor-outdoor living experience, beginning with a complete interior transformation of the main living areas, bathrooms, bedrooms, and kitchen, and naturally extending into a cohesive outdoor remodel. Every space was designed to support a lifestyle of ease, connection, and retreat, with a clear, intentional flow from inside to out.
The vision for the outdoor spaces was clear: create an environment that feels peaceful, meditative, and welcoming, equally suited for quiet evenings and effortless entertaining. The pool and spa were transformed into a refined, resort-style setting, designed for both relaxation and gathering. From the jacuzzi, you can unwind while watching TV, enjoy warm summer nights, and feel fully immersed in the experience.
An elevated dining area invites connection and hosting, while a custom fireplace wall adds warmth and ambiance, extending the usability of the space well into the evening. Inside, the home was curated to visually and emotionally flow outward. Earthy materials and textures were selected to create a seamless transition, blurring the line between interior comfort and outdoor living.
Initial On-Site Meetings
- Pre-Design Consultation: After transforming the home’s interior and exterior for its original owners, the property was purchased by new homeowners who fell in love with the design. They entrusted our team to carry that vision outdoors, reimagining the exterior spaces to reflect and complement the home’s refined interior.
- Preliminary Scope & Budget: We developed and presented our vision for the new outdoor living space, that blended a peaceful meditative environment with a modern, clean, earth toned design.

- Design Agreement: The clients signed the design agreement, and our team went to work scheduling and getting the process started.
- Site Measure: We measured and photographed the exterior, documenting existing conditions to clearly illustrate current site conditions and proposed changes for the building department.
- Design Interview: Our architect and interior designer focused on the finer details, aligning the design with how the homeowners planned to use the outdoor space.
- Develop Design Concepts: We developed preliminary layouts and 3D renderings to ensure the design aligned with the clients’ vision and needs. Once approved, we advanced into the next phase.
Design Development
- Finalize Major Design Details: Through detailed plans, elevations, and 3D renderings, we brought the vision to life and guided each design decision. As the project evolved, the scope expanded to include a BBQ bistro dining area and the transformation of unused space into a kids’ play and lounge area, with the TV thoughtfully positioned for viewing from the spa.
- Develop Scope of Work: We paired the drawings with a clearly defined scope of work, which then entered the estimating phase to establish the project’s fixed price.
Construction Docs & Permitting
- Submit Plans for Permits: Permit timelines can vary depending on the building department, but we oversee the entire process to ensure all approvals are secured.
- Select Materials & Finishes: The clients met with our Interior Designer in our Design Center to select all the finished materials to be used in their project.

- Finalize Construction Schedule: We provided the clients with a clear, detailed timeline highlighting when each phase of the project would begin and be completed.
- Pre-Construction Meeting: Prior to construction, the clients met with their Project Manager to discuss logistics and prepare for the build phase.
- Site Preparations & Job Site Mobilization
